Norse Rough Up Apaches
After being canceled on Friday night because of lightning the Northfield and Wabash football teams took to the field Saturday morning with the Norse defending home field against the Apaches 54-6.
The Norse would grab an 8-0 lead in the first when Jarrett Shafer scored from 30yds out. After a Levi Fulkerson two point conversion it was 8-0.
The Norse would dominate the second quarter. Shafer would score from 23yds away before Clayton Tomlinson picked off a Wabash pass and raced 73yds to pay dirt to make it 24-0. Tomlinson would then score on a 4yd run as the lead grew to 32-0 before Sodervick connected with Grant to make it 32-6 at the half.
Northfield would extend their lead to 48-6 after three off a Graydon Holmes 5yd run and an 11yd run from Shafer.
The final score came with 2;30 left when Kinsey scored from a yard away.
