Southwood 7th Opens With Win Over Valley

Southwood 7th grade Lady Knights opened their season on the road against conference foe Tippecanoe Valley with an exciting 29-24 victory.

The Lady Knights got off to a hot start offensively scoring 13 points in the 1st quarter while using a stifling defense in the 1st half only allowing 4 points in the 1st quarter. They also held the Vikings to 0 points in the 2nd quarter, and they led 15-4 at halftime.

The Lady Knights had to play scrappy down the stretch defensively while holding the Vikings off in the end picking up the 29-24 victory for their first win on the season.

The Lady Knights will be back in action on Monday, January 9 on the road at McCulloch.
