Wabash Girls Soccer Ties Eastern

The Wabash Lady Apaches soccer team tied with Eastern 1-1 Saturday.

Junior Goalkeeper Olivia Braun had some incredible saves for Wabash, with 13 total saves. Defense was strong with senior Kiana Jones, juniors Graci Napier and Macy VonUhl. K. Jones also serviced the ball well on free kicks and corner kicks. Napier continues to control the center of the field for the Lady Apaches. Junior Kait Honeycutt played a great game in the midfield, including drawing a penalty in the box and earning Wabash a penalty kick in the 2nd the half.

Senior Natalie Adams put the penalty shot away for Wabash. Really great offensive opportunities for Wabash, with shots on goal by sophomore Logan Wright, juniors Abbi Hipskind, Emma Weaver, Honeycutt and Napier and seniors K. Jones and Adams. Wabash improves to 6-4-2. The Lady Apaches are back at home on Monday at 5:30 vs Taylor.
