The Northfield Norse exploded for 55 points in the second half on their way to an 85-50 win over North Miami in the opening round of the Southern Wells sectional Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles of Oak Hill finished the first half on an 8-0 run to stretch their lead to 18 where it stayed for the most of the second half in a 65-46 win over the Northfield Norse.

Huntington North used a 7-0 run to start the third quarter and push a 27-23 half time lead into double digits on their way to a 63-44 win over Northfield Tuesday.

The Braves of Maconaquah used a strong end to the first half to stretch their lead to 11 and went on to defeat Northfield 76-54 Tuesday.

In a see saw affair the Northfield Norse took a 22-21 lead on a Clayton Tomlinson jumper before the Tigers of Bluffton hit a three pointer, added a steal and lay-up and another three pointer to take a 29-21 lead and then hold that lead in a 48-38 win.

With the score tied 7-7 the Rochester Zebras scored the next 23 points en route to a 67-33 TRC win over Northfield Friday.

Despite shooting 53% from the field and logging 17 steals the Northfield Norse lost to Tri Central 50-42 Tuesday.
